The Hamilton County Recycling and Solid Waste District (District) is a County organization, established by State law, responsible for ensuring that the County achieves State mandated goals for recycling and waste reduction. The District achieves these goals through the implementation of waste reduction programs targeted to residents, communities, businesses and schools.

Hamilton County Public Health serves more than 475,000 Hamilton County residents living outside the cities of Cincinnati, Norwood and Springdale. With a staff of more than 80, including sanitarians, plumbers, health educators, nurses and epidemiologists, Hamilton County Public Health strives to prevent disease and injury, promote wellness, and protect people from environmental hazards.

The Hamilton County Soil & Water Conservation District is a legal subdivision of the State of Ohio responsible for the conservation of natural resources within Hamilton County, Ohio. We have a special emphasis on soil and water with a focus on assisting landowners in planning and applying conservation practices on the land. HCSWCD is dedicated to the sustainable use of our natural resources and to encouraging positive behavioral changes that produce a higher quality of life for our citizens.

To protect and where possible, enhance environmental conditions in order to maintain a high quality of life for both present and future residents of Clermont County. First formed in 1995, the Office of Environmental Quality (OEQ) continues to work with local, state and federal agencies and the general public to provide guidance and solutions to Clermont County’s environmental concerns.

The Butler County Recycling & Solid Waste District serves the entire county by promoting recycling, waste reduction and responsible disposal of all waste from households, businesses and industry. One of 52 solid waste districts in Ohio, the Butler County District is responsible for implementing a solid waste management plan.

Serving Warren County, Ohio, since December 1993, the Warren County SWMD has been implementing and administrating solid waste and recycling programs for residents and businesses in Warren County. These programs are designed to increase waste reduction and recycling, as well as reduce the District's reliance on land filling waste. These include supporting and expanding the curbside recycling programs, providing information about household hazardous waste disposal and recycling, furthering education and awareness programs throughout the county, and maintaining the litter collection effort.
